WHAT IS AN INDOCTRINATION COURSE?
It is a six (6) hour course that all new applicants to Litchfield County Board of REALTORS^® are required to take before being approved for REALTOR^® membership.  (*Note:  For those joining an CTMLS firm, there is additional computer training required.)

DO I NEED TO ATTEND THIS INDOCTRINATION COURSE?
YES, If you are a new applicant and have never been a member of the Litchfield County Board of REALTORS^®.  NO, If you are a current member in good standing of another Board/Association and have completed that Board/Association's new member orientation program.  Written notice from that Board/Association must be received.

HOW DOES IT BENEFIT ME?
It fulfills Board membership requirements. It educates you on the Litchfield County Board of REALTORS^® membership benefits, facilities, services and the Code of Ethics. 

WHEN DO I NEED TO TAKE THIS INDOCTRINATION COURSE?
The Indoctrination course is offered at least four (4) times per year. As a  Litchfield County Board applicant you have nine (9) months to attend one (1) course, if after nine (9) months you still have not gone to one of these Indoctrinations, your membership application will be terminated at the discretion of the Board of Directors. To reactivate your applicant status you must reapply. 

WHEN WILL I KNOW WHEN THE INDOCTRINATION COURSE IS BEING OFFERED?
Upon application, the date of the next Indoctrination course is noticed to the applicant.  After that, notices are sent to all applicants needing the Indoctrination approximately one (1) week before the program as a reminder. This notice informs you of the date and time that the course will take place.  Dates & times are also posted on the calendar page of our web site as well as the MLS bulletin board.  

HOW DO I REGISTER FOR THE INDOCTRINATION COURSE?

Once applicable dues/fees are received by the Board office, you are automatically added to the list of Indoctrination attendees.  Reminders will be sent via email or fax during the week preceding the course.
