VOLUNTEERS WANTED FOR HABITAT FOR HUMANITY - Habitat for Humanity is asking for volunteers to assist with various projects on a house they are preparing for their program on 30 River Road in Falls Village, CT. This is the same house some of our members worked on in April. Currently, volunteers are working on the home every Wednesday and Saturday. Anyone interested in volunteering to assist with this project should first call Habitat for Humanity at (860) 435-4747 to inform them of the date and time you would like to assist with the project. Calling first will ensure a representative from their organization will be available and on site the day you plan on working. They especially have a need for plumbers or anyone with plumbing knowledge. You do not need to be a licensed plumber to assist, because they will have a licensed inspector check over all the work to ensure it was completed correctly. Directions: Coming from Canaan - Route 7 South, right before the traffic light on RT 7 is a small cafe called "Mountainside Cafe" on the left and a "Music Mountain" directional sign at the traffic light (Housatonic Valley Regional High School on the right) - turn left at light onto Lime Rock Station Road, go left over railroad track, road becomes River Road, house #30 is on right. BEWARE OF GPS DIRECTIONS!! (5/15/08)
