AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP

Affiliate and Local Affiliate Members shall be real estate owners and other individuals or firms who, while not engaged in the real estate profession as defined in paragraph (a.) or (b.) of Article IV - Membership - Section 1.of the Bylaws of Litchfield County Board of REALTORS®, Inc.  have interests requiring information concerning real estate, and are in sympathy with the objectives of the Board.  They shall not be eligible to vote or hold elective office in the Board.

Affiliate Membership Levels

Affiliate - This level of membership requires payment of state* and local Board dues, as well as, any required application fees and includes membership in the Connecticut Association of REALTORS® (state association) and Litchfield County Board of REALTORS®, Inc. (local Board).

Local Affiliate -   This level of membership requires payment of local Board dues and application fee and includes membership in Litchfield County Board of REALTORS®, Inc. (local Board).

CAR Affiliate Member Benefits*

*Affiliate members of the Connecticut Association of REALTORS®, members that have paid dues to CAR, are entitled to receive the same CAR benefits, except for the Gates Scholarship Fund, as REALTOR® members. ,

Banner Advertisements

Sponsorship Opportunities

Sponsoring or co-sponsoring a program or event has many benefits and is a valuable opportunity to familiarize our members with you. Every Sponsor is listed on various promotional materials for each program, such as, a flyer that is sent to members via email and/or mail, an online registration page located under the Events section of our website, which includes the sponsor’s name and a link to the sponsor’s website, as well as, inclusion on our Sponsors Webpage listing of the current year’s programs you are supporting along with your name, an e-mail link, your company name and a link to your website.   Additionally, sponsor “tents” will be supplied by the Board and placed on tables at the program, and each sponsor will be given a table, near the event registration table, where he/she may sit and greet registrants as they arrive and/or distribute “goodies” or they may place “goodies” at each table place setting.

Continuing Education Course sponsorship provides an even greater benefit because the sponsor is allowed five minutes before the start of class to address the attendees.  Connecticut Education courses are required for Connecticut license renewal, therefore, attendance for each course generally ranges from 100 – 300 people.

Use of Board Room

Affiliate and Local Affiliate members may use our Board room during normal business hours, free of charge, to host an appropriate meeting, program, etc., providing the room is available for the date and time requested.  All requests for Board room use must be submitted to the Board office in advance and will be approved on a case by case basis.

Networking Opportunities

Our Board hosts numerous business social functions every year with anywhere from fifty to one hundred fifty members in attendance.  Attending and/or sponsoring one or more of these events gives our Affiliate and Local Affiliate members the advantage of interacting with our REALTOR®, Affiliate and Local Affiliate members in a more personal setting, enabling members  to establish numerous business and social connections in Connecticut's real estate industry.

Notary Services

Affiliate and Local Affiliates may utilize the notary services, free of charge, of our Executive Officer Marilyn Relva-Papcun by appointment only.
